Our Donkeys
Here is some information on our resident Donkeys here at Hope Nature Centre!
Dudley was born in 2010 and was original rescued in Ireland before moving to the UK and eventually to us.
BABY ANIMALS
Did you know that baby Donkeys are called Foals.
Denzil was born in 2004 and is a retired beach donkey.
Dexter was born in 2013 and is retired beach donkey. He was born with a cataract in his left eye, but this does not seem to bother him.
ANIMAL GROUPS
Did you know that a group of Donkeys are called a Herd or Drove!
Did you know that donkeys don’t like being in the rain for long periods as their fur is not waterproof
