Fairfield Animal Centre is a charity run Animal Park set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Children will enjoy getting close to nature and learning all about our animals. From rare Valais sheep to our charismatic wallabies, our collection of animals will make a visit both educational and memorable.
Included with our education packages is access to one of our Animal Experts, where children will be able to ask questions and learn about our animals, straight from the people who look after them.
Please be aware our Educational Visits aren’t available to book during school holidays.
ANIMAL PARK
Our Animal Park is home to a range of animals, making a visit interesting, educational and fun! Say hello to our alpacas, donkeys, goats, emu wallabies, sheep, pigs and more. Our enclosures have informative signage, so visitors can find out more about our animals. We also have a Woodland Walk where visitors can get closer to nature.
PLAY AREAS
Fairfield Animal Centre is home to a selection of different play areas. The most popular is our new Adventure Play, featuring a variety of slides and climbing frames, as well as a hill fort. We’ve also got various other parks and play areas where younger guests can enjoy some play time.
CATERING
We’re happy to help provide catering for your visit. Idea include; delicious lunch bags, ice creams, treats and more. We also have plenty of picnic places, as well as covered and shady areas.

Animal petting experience with our Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Goats, and Sheep – hosted by one of our Animal Park Specialists.

Children can explore our Animal Park filling in our Quiz Trail. Once completed, they’ll get a sweet cone.
Includes a filled bap of your choice (cheese, tuna, ham or jam), a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit, a carton of drink and a gingerbread man.
Hire our Base Room 10am – 14:30, on-site in our Animal Park – perfect for events and classes.

Fairfield Animal Centre is operated by Fairfield Trust, a charity that incorporates both Fairfield Animal Centre and Fairfield Farm College in Dilton Marsh. The aim of the charity to support and encourage young adults with learning difficulties, offering realistic working environments so they can learn new skills.

A visit to the Fairfield Animal Centre will inspire your class with an opportunity to explore the outdoors in a safe environment designed to engage pupils. Fairfield Animal Centre offers a variety of animals, woodland, play equipment and enrichment opportunities whist developing their social and communication skills and having fun whilst learning.
Our experienced staff will be on hand to provide children with the opportunity to learn about animals, birds, bugs, bees and nature with questions and answer time, as well as supervised handling of selected animals and birds in the great outdoors.
Science
Exploring animals, birds, bugs, bees and nature, learning about diets, how they communicate and live with each other and life cycles.
PE
Engaging in physical activity on the safe play equipment using balance, strength, coordination, and teamwork skills.
SEN Groups
The Fairfield Animal Centre is an inclusive employer and training centre that supports young people and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and as such we have a full understanding of the challenges faced. We will plan sessions that are fully inclusive and supports the needs of everyone enabling them to learn in a safe and understanding environment. Some of our play equipment is for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. A sensory garden is planned for 2023.
